Eicosanoid pix

Thanks for the improvement to the eicosanoid diagram!

David.Throop 23:35, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

You write
If you'd like me to convert Image:EFA to Eicosanoid.JPG to SVG, I'd be happy to.
That would be great. Would it help for me to send you the original powerpoint slide? – David.Throop 06:08, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
I found that I can't upload a .ppt file; the upload page won't accept the format. Email me and I'll send the file. I've made some minor improvements. David.Throop 02:37, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks! looks great. As for the Funk diagrams, yes I have the emails where he OK'ed. The only change I can think of is that the second picture should be as colorful as the first - using different colored arrows for the different pathways.David.Throop 16:11, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

> I can't promise quick service though

S'OK. It's going to be a while before I try to take this forward for FA review.  :-)
Thanks again David.Throop 17:03, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Asthma del

Hello Fvasconcellos I had an informational page about asthma that you deleted and didn't leave a message on why. James086 told me to talk to you about this revert back to his old stuff. He looked at the website and said it did have credibility. Can you please elaborate on the deletion.

Bradykinin

Thanks for all the hard work you've put in. I have been looking for a usable image of Bradykinon everywhere and there you have it. Thanks, also, for giving it to the public domain. I was wondering if you had a higher resolution image for this. This would be very helpful to me as well. However, I understand if you are very busy. Ten un bom dia! (Right?) Is "some individuals" not the same as "individuals" ?  :-) SandyGeorgia (Talk) 23:44, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

I think s/he was just adding a lot of sometimes, maybes, and whatevers because s/he might not understand statistical anomolies. But generally, later onset tics were either 1) not identified when the child was younger, or 2) could be the result of drug abuse. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 23:54, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
With the article getting more visibility, the problem will recur. Did you see the press link I added on the talk page? The problem is simple: most adults with TS have severe TS complicated by other conditions, but often may think it's only the tics, when the problems are coming from other issues. The article can't be about anxiety disorder or bipolar or something else; it's about TS. Anyway, I appreciate you doing the work because I'm up to my eyeballs trying to straighten out articlhistory templates. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 00:03, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Chembox new

Hi! I saw you used the new {{chembox new}} on an article yesterday (Daminozide). I just wanted to point out, that you can leave everything that you don't fill in just in the list (things not filled in will just not appear anyway). I know it is quite long, but in that way it is easier for people to fill in data that they find somewhere (there is always more data available, and otherwise people have to guess where to find the other data). That is especially for data that might be available, but that you don't have available at the moment. Certain sections can probably be removed without any problem (explosives for most medicine, etc.). Cheers! --Dirk Beetstra T C 00:13, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Thank you F. for this noble barnstar. I accept it with solemnity and gratitude, and will do my best to live up to the high standard that it represents. No problem, but it took me the longest time to figure out why the comment didn't show :-) If you look at my contribs, you'll notice I'm up to my eyeballs in templates and archives—quite tedious work—I guess it's a lot to hope I could work in peace, but I simply resist being drug into someone else's drama :-) Best, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:12, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

oh, my, I'm sorry for the ouch; I truly didn't mean it that way at all. William Monahan GAC

Thanks for the review. They're good points. I'm going to address them as soon as I have a moment.-BiancaOfHell 15:39, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Hello. In reference to your comment, "Still in "Screenwriting career", all sentences seem to begin "In year x Monahan was hired by y to do z". Is there any way to rephrase some of them a little more creatively?", what do you think of the changes? I did something a little creative, maybe too creative, but I like it. Talking about unproduced screenplays is pretty dry stuff to begin with. :) Still tackling your other comments though.-BillDeanCarter 03:22, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Okay. I'll renominate when I have tackled all the comments and brought the article up to date. Thanks for the review.-BillDeanCarter 21:12, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Hello. I renominated the William Monahan article for GAC. I believe I addressed all your comments, but you may have more as I've significantly expanded the article since then. I would appreciate any criticism you could provide on the state of the article. Thanks.-BillDeanCarter 11:07, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Hello. I tackled all the points in your review. Let me know what you think of the changes. Also, let me know if you have any new criticisms, as well as stuff I missed or you think I could still do better. I appreciated all the comments you have made so far. Thanks.-BillDeanCarter 15:39, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Now at FAC

Hello. I have fixed up the lead section and I went ahead and listed it at FAC. I think it will receive the copyedit it needs at FAC. I hope you can pitch in here and there with your thoughts during the FAC process, especially since you have done a good job of reviewing it and watching it's progress. Thanks for all the help so far.-BillDeanCarter 20:03, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Hey, yeah it was quick to FAC but I figured it was the best way to get a few independent copyedits and rapidly improve the article. I got a copyedit+comments from Mad Jack, Peter, and minor contributions from some others. It's vastly improved, and it was the kind of stuff that had to go but that I couldn't see myself being too attached to one's own words. I would appreciate if you could chime in at FAC with a few words if you have the time? I have appreciated all your efforts through GAC so far. Best, BillDeanCarter 09:38, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Your congrats

Thanks Fvasconcellos, much appreciated. BTW, it seems that the same old topics are now swirling again at the Gol article, we'll see if the new editor can accept the argument that a clearance overrides a flight plan (universally unless proven otherwise), and that WP only summarizes existing reliable sources, and does not advance its own positions. Kiarostami GA assessment

Hi Fvasconcellos!

I have just noticed that some one (User:Wizardman) nominated Abbas Kiarostami for GA assessment several days ago. I don't know this user and he/she was not involved in writing the article. Would that be possible for you to assess it or ask someone else who might be interested to evaluate it? The article has been under peer review upon my request since 10 days ago. and I would like to make the article FA soon (hopefully!). Any comments would be very much appreciated. Thanks.Sangak 21:25, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Great! Thanks a lot. Sangak 21:34, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Thank you Fvasconcellos for the review and copyedits. I will try to fix the issues; I will let you know about the changes made. Take care. Sangak 08:01, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Hi Fvasconcellos! Please see the changes I made. I noticed that the citations were deleted unintentionally during the copyeditting by some editors. The issues addressed in the article are very well-known and there are many books and articles about them. I will explain for you tomorrow. I am in a hurry now and I have to catch a bus! Thanks. Sangak 22:10, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks Fvasconcellos! I am very happy :-) I will ask a few native speakers to copyedit the article again and let you know soon. Thanks again for spending your time on the article and offering constructive suggestions. Take care. Sangak 11:36, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
I am struggling with myself to figure out how I can reduce the size of the article. I tried to be "bold" and delete several paragraphs. I tried it in microsoft word. It did not help much. It was still too long. Another solution is to split the article. Then the question is which part of the article? I've already splitted the article into Koker trilogy and Filmography of Abbas Kiarostami. One option is to have a separate article for "Kiarostamian cinema" or "Kiarostamian film" (in google) that contains the cinematic style section. A last option is to rewrite the article in much more compact form. The latter needs an English native speaker who can write in professional language. It is too difficult for me. Do you have any suggestion in this regard? Sangak 17:13, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
I also prefer "Cinematic style of Abbas Kiarostami", although it is a bit long. "Kiarostamian" is not a common term. On the otherside I am thinking whether a FA status is really what I am looking for or not? and whether that is what an average reader enjoys most or not. I would like to put an end to this work and come back to science wikiproject. I really miss it. Take care. Sangak 17:59, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the comments. I have seen your sand box and I got a feeling which parts you consider as essential. I also checked the FA assessment page. There articles like this one with 64 kb. They are apparently passing through. Kiarostami's size is now 54 kb after splitting it into Cinematic style of Abbas Kiarostami and trimming the original article. I only trimmed the style section. I think I am done with the article. Would you please take a look at it when you have some time? Do you think I should trim the article more? Thanks. Sangak 20:06, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. I actually asked User:SandyGeorgia today in the morning. I hope she will help. In any case I think I am done with the article. I just read it again. I just trimmed unessential paragraphs and I think the cinematic style section summerizes the Cinematic style of Abbas Kiarostami very well. It looks quite acceptible to me. As you know today two copyeditors also copyedited the article. They told me that it needs no more copyediting. Please let me know what you think about its FAC.

Concerning my plans, I am actually decided to edit articles on science exclusively . I will for sure stop my contributions to other subjects from the end of February. It takes time and does not allow me concentrate on science. Thank you again. Sangak 20:27, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

I will indeed make a joint FA nomination for Abbas Kiarostami and Cinematic style of Abbas Kiarostami. Sangak 20:31, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Thank you Fvasconcellos for your time and kind helps. Good night! Sangak 21:15, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Hi Fvasconcellos! I have a question about the status of Cinematic style of Abbas Kiarostami. As you know this is only a copy paste of a section in Abbas Kiarostami. (versions compared in my sandbox) Then would that be automatically GA or should I go through the GA assessment again? cheers. Sangak 09:38, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for informing me. I added fair use rational to all of them. I suppose it is ok now. Thanks again. Sangak 18:26, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
When I consulted with User:Cbrown who is an administrator and also involved in peer reviewing articles, he/she said it is probably ok. see here please. Though he/she was not sure. Sangak 18:42, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. Sangak 18:50, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Thank you Fvasconcellos! Thanks to your comments and helps, the FA assessment is going smoothly. Take care. Sangak 15:25, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

I'll do my best to address the issues. In the meantime, you can make a note on the project page saying it has been reviewed. Signed, your friendly neighborhood MessedRocker. 21:07, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

your PH drug template

Hi there, you're lucky to catch me when I'm online. I've been sporadically active for a number of reasons. Anyway, I saw your template, and it's a good start. One possible problem is that there are some medicines that are non-specific for pulmonary hypertension, but many patients take them anyway. At one time, I took nifedipine, but I turned out not to benefit from it as much as initially thought. I do take hydrochlorothiazide. Those are two examples of medicines that have wider usage than just PH. Did you want your template to cover every medicine used, or only ones that are specific for PH? --Kyoko 13:26, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

That sounds like a good solution, it would allow people access to the info without taking up too much space in the template. --Kyoko 13:47, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Kiarostami was promoted!

Dear Fvasconcellos

I need to thank you for your kind assistance and support. The article would not come to FA status without your helps. Thanks and All the best. Sangak Talk 11:05, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

IRC?

Are you on IRC? If you're interested, come find me at #drugbox. --Selket Talk 03:12, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the barnstar

First let me say thank you very much for the barnstar. I kind of stumbled across the technique, but I hope its useful to as many people as can make use of it.

As for IRC, I did plan on discussing it on the talk page. It was still a new idea, it looked like you were online, and you are one of the smarter editors I have worked with in the past, so I thought it might be useful to bounce some ideas off you in real time.

Thanks again, Selket Talk 21:14, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Au drugs

Thanks for the note - I was worried that you'd be bothered by my replacing your pretty pic with an uglier but possibly more realistic one. I go around sometime re-rendering ionic compounds into a more covalent motif. Keep up the good work with the med-chem thing.--Smokefoot 22:15, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Wonderful !

I just came across some helpful fellow who actually updated an articlehistory correctly !!! SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:45, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

I weighed in on the FAC; it's discouraging that a good editor/reviewer (like yourself) goes to the effort, and your recommendations are ignored. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 20:00, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
I hope so, for his sake and the article's sake :-) SandyGeorgia (Talk) 20:52, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Your Dasatinib image is incorrect

Hi, thanks for all your work, it certainly is an impressive output! Just letting you know your image for Dasatinib is missing the 2-chloro group, I've crudely flagged it on the page for now so no hurry if you get a chance to correct it or not. Thanks again, Cheers —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Oscar Langley Soryu (talkcontribs) 04:28, 14 March 2007 (UTC).
