Fairfield Methodist Church is a Methodist church in Singapore. It is located along 1 Tanjong Pagar Road, within walking distance of Chinatown. The very first service was held in Fairfield Methodist Girl's School, on 23rd March 1947 by Reverend Herbert Kuehn. It was then known as Fairfield Chapel. The Kuehn Hall in the church is named after him.
On the 22nd of November, 1985, Fairfield Chapel moved to its current site along Tanjong Pagar Road, taking possession of Metropole Theatre, changing its name to Fairfield Methodist Church. The very first service at the new location was held at 15th June 1986, with Rev. Michael Ross Watson as the guest speaker.
[edit] Fairfield Kindergarten
Fairfield Kindergarten shares the same building as Fairfield Methodist Church. During the weekdays, the classrooms are used by Fairfield Kindergarten, while on Sunday, the classrooms are used by the PowerKids programme.

The Fairfield Preaching Point is an outreach branch of Fairfield Methodist Church, as a vision to plant a Methodist Church in the Northern Part of Singapore. Services are held in Cathay Cineplex Hall 4, Causeway Point, Woodlands. The inaugural service was held in June 2003.

Yong-En Care Centre is an outreach programme located at a void space above the Chinatown Complex commercial block. Its primary objective is to provide services for the Chinatown community, the less fortunate and the needy.

[edit] English Ministry
The English Ministry is the largest ministry in Fairfield. It has two main services on Sundays, the 8.30 am service, and the 10.30 am service.

The Dialect Ministry began in Feburary 1986.
[edit] Chosen Generation
The Chosen Generation, or Youth Ministry in Fairfield Methodist Church, caters to youths between Primary 6 to pre-university level.
The Chosen Generation is a merger of the past Club 612 and the past Youth Ministry.

The PowerKids program is specically run to cater to children between 5 to 11 years old. All its teachers are volunteers from the congregation, and from the Chosen Generation.

[edit] Christmas In Chinatown
Christmas In Chinatown (CIC) is an annual event held in Chinatown, to bring Christmas to Chinatown. The very first CIC was held on the 19th and 20th of December, 1987. More than 2000 people attended the first CIC.

The Fairfield Methodist Church Camp is held once every two years, usually in Malaysia.

The Encounter Lounge is used for miscellenous events. On Sunday Mornings, breakfast is usually sold at cost price in the Encounter Lounge. Recently, during a large scale renovation, a ramp leading up to the Encounter Lounge was built, to facilitate the movement of wheelchairs.
