Fuyucon (fuyu being Japanese for winter) is an anime convention based in the Midlands area of the United Kingdom. The first Fuyucon took place in Nottingham in October 2007 and although relatively new attracted a modest amount of interest from anime fans across the United Kingdom. The convention was formed after many committee members of the East Midlands Anime Group (EMAG) took it upon themselves to offer another anime convention based within the united Kingdom.[citation needed]
