Rising Eagle: Futuristic Infantry Warfare is an online multiplayer, team based, tactical first-person shooter and video game by Invasion Interactive. The game previously was sold online, but is now available as freeware for Windows.
The game is set in the near future, circa 2040AD, in a world in which the USA, weakened by a natural disaster of apocalyptic magnitude, rises from the ashes to reclaim its superpower status. In Rising Eagle, the gamer assumes the role of a "Super-Marine", the Marine Corps infantryman of the future. As the world is in turmoil and the USA is seeking to regain superpower status, the gamer finds himself, as part of a Super-Marine task force (American, Chinese or European), assigned to various missions around the globe.
[edit] Character Classes
In the game, players have a choice of several character classes to use. These classes include the Battle Hacker, Squad Leader, Platoon Leader, Trooper, ABE, and Sniper classes. Each class has a different role and different weapons. All the classes must work together to successfully succeed.
[edit] Abilities
Players have an exoskeleton which grants them special abilities. They are invulnerable to fall damage, can jump extremely high, and run very fast. These abilities are limited by a battery, which is drained when these abilities are used.
