Fusion Radio Chicago
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fusion Radio Chicago is an internet dance radio station based in Chicago, which resulted from a merger between former stations Pure Pulse Radio and Energy Internet Radio. Pure Pulse Radio was the result of a re-branding from Moodance.com on June 10, 2003. Moodance has since restarted under original ownership and isn't associated with Pure Pulse Media.
It aired its first live remote broadcast from Charlie's Nightclub in downtown Chicago on October 3, 2003.
By September 2003, the station aired an exclusive interview with dance artist Amber which included her new material.
In the spring of the following year, Fusion officially ranked better than 50,000 on Alexa web ranking (on June 17, 2006, its rank was 52,994), ahead of any Chicago radio broadcast station and ranked as the 4th largest commercial dance internet dance station and the number 1 internet station from Chicago.
With nearly 1.9 million tune-ins, FUSION ranks the 3rd largest commercial internet dance station and runs a leading dance music website.
