Fusient Media Ventures

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fusient Media Ventures is an American-based venture capital group founded by Classic Sports Network creators Brian Bedol and Steve Greenberg.

Fusient is known primarily for collaborating with Eric Bischoff in an attempt to purchase World Championship Wrestling. The deal would be aborted in late March 2001 when Jamie Kellner, then-CEO/Chairman of Turner Broadcasting System removed WCW programming from television. The professional wrestling company would eventually be purchased by the World Wrestling Federation (now known as World Wrestling Entertainment).

Fusient was also responsible for other successful ventures, such as College Sports Television, also known as CSTV. CSTV was purchased in 2006 by the CBS Corporation, and rebranded by the network as CBS College Sports Network in March of 2008.
