Furmanov (town)

Furmanov (Russian: Фу́рманов) is a town in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia, also known as Sereda (Середа) from 1918 to 1941. Population: 40,874 2002. Geographical coordinates: .
In 1918, it was incorporated as a town by the name of Sereda. On March 13, 1941, it was renamed Furmanov after writer and Bolshevik Dmitri Furmanov.
