Furfjord is a surname of approx. 50 people in Norway, who's ancestors originate from Forfjord in Northern Norway (http://www.forfjordgrunneierlag.no). The name is derived from the pine tree called Furu. The reason the location is called Forfjord, is that the dialect in that area names Furu 'Forra'.
