[edit] Sub-page

Hi, since you are victimised as well, I took the liberty of creating a new sub-page: User:NikoSilver/List of POV edits by Slavomacedonians, to concentrate all relative crap in one place. I remeber you had a nice talk with Telex about article protection, roll-backs, user-blocks etc. Can you include some of them there please?  NikoSilver  (T) @ (C) 11:20, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Them as in diffs from mk.wiki?  /FunkyFly.talk_   16:21, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Them as any kind of diff anywhere. Also, no censoring please! Remove the stars and replace with regular letters. Also, there was a comment by Telex on the martyrdom of user Asteraki and others whos pages were reverted and then blocked...  NikoSilver  (T) @ (C) 19:59, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
About the censoring, I think it is a good idea, but it's a question of taste. De-censor it yourself.  /FunkyFly.talk_   20:01, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
I can't coz I really don't know what it means. Enlighten me here or via e-mail if you wish...  NikoSilver  (T) @ (C) 20:17, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
I dont know and I dont want to know, but it looks like a curseword.  /FunkyFly.talk_   20:20, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Goce Delchev

Funky, I really don't know why we are making an edit war for something that is obvious (ethnicity of Delchev is doubtfull) and for that reason we cannot simply state that he was Bulgarian. Even the Bulgarian WP states that in Macedonia he is considered a Macedonian. MatriX 19:48, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Yes, it does say he's considered Macedonian, as does this wikipedia. Read this guideline. It might help you figure things out.  /FunkyFly.talk_   19:50, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Samuel

Check the revision history of mk:Самуил to see how far unsourced POV pushing can go. --Telex 20:47, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

That's clarly point 6 of Macedonism - Bulgarian meant a whole bunch of other things back then, but not the Bulgarian people as one might be tempted to think.   /FunkyFly.talk_   20:48, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Could you tell me (via e-mail if prudent) what Makedonec is saying in his edit summaries at mk:Егејска Македонија. --Telex 20:50, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
You're not able to figure it out? Gotta go now, in a few hours maybe   /FunkyFly.talk_   20:52, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Kala katalabainw, lene oi typoi oti to 88% tou plhthysmou ths Flwrinas, to 79% ths Edessas kai to 57% ths Kastorias einai Skopianoi? LOL :-) --   Avg    20:59, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Avg, if you have something to tell me, please do it in English, or in Greek using the Greek alphabet, so I can paste it in Babelfish. Otherwise you make it very hard for me to convert latin letters to Greek, so I might not do it unless I think it's very important.   /FunkyFly.talk_   00:19, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
"If I understand right, the guys say that 88% of the population in Florina, 79% in Edessa and 57% in Kastoria are Skopjans? LOL :-)" The Translator
Now will you do that other translation for me?  NikoSilver  (T) @ (C) 11:29, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
Sorry Funky...I was too excited with my discovery. mk wiki is out there  :-)--   Avg    19:03, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

BTW do you think I'm likely to get away with this? --Telex 00:15, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
No.   /FunkyFly.talk_   00:19, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
You're right - I didn't. --Telex 00:21, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rastafarian

Why would anyone want to be a Rastafarian? They believe some really stupid shit. - FrancisTyers 17:21, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

I was under the impression that certain British to-be-linguists were, considering their pro-marijuana activism and overall appearance.   /FunkyFly.talk_   18:44, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Makedonec

Did you know Makedonec has left Wikipedia. Check mk:user talk:GrekoMakedonski. --Telex 21:44, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I noticed. Dont think he'll stay away for too long.   /FunkyFly.talk_   21:44, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Goce Delchev: Macedonian or Bulgarian

We agreed with Francis the statements to be Macedonian or Bulgarian, If you want start the article about..--Vlatko 23:41, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

I have not agreed to that. No sources he ever consired himself Macedonian.   /FunkyFly.talk_   21:46, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

You might want to beware the 3RR at Macedonia (i.e. don't revert again). --Telex 23:15, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

I'm watching it, one was correcting plain anon. vandalism. Thanks for reminding me again though.   /FunkyFly.talk_   23:18, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nikola Karev

I'll ask for mediation on this and you are in danger to be blocked (Zdravko mk 16:33, 2 June 2006 (UTC))

Sounds good.   /FunkyFly.talk_   16:34, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Languages

If User:Vlatkoto can speak English at level 3, I hate to think what his French and Spanish are like ;-) --Telex 18:25, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

I think his Italian is quite decent, dont know about French and Spanish. En is probably 2 at most.   /FunkyFly.talk_   18:27, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Do you think Bulgarian is bg-4? How much does one have to know for higher education in BG? --Telex 18:28, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
This bg-X stuff is very subjective. Depends on what kind of skill are we talking, conversational skill or technical terminology skills, it varies.   /FunkyFly.talk_   18:30, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
See Wikipedia:Babel/Levels. --Telex 18:32, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
It's a guideline, so you're free to declare whatever you want. The worst thing that can happen is that you might lose your credibility.   /FunkyFly.talk_   18:38, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Italians & Romans

Excuse me first that I didn't awnser immediately, but I'm a bit lazy in awnsering messages. Coming to the post you may be surprised to know, sometime we do; that's because of the originary nature of the term Italy, it having been created as a geographic term. So actually you can say things like "the etruscans are Italians"; but naturally, this doesn't meen anything more than saying "the Lidyans were Anatolians", that is, they lived in that geographic region. For a Bulgarian it's clearly different as the country's name originates from the people. What I told you about instead can generate a considerable level of confusion in early Italian Medieval history; but there aren't other solutions; you can't call Roman a guy ling in Italy in the 9th century, or at least it would sound sort of weird. Regarding your issue the problem is the chronology; it's hard to read Misirkov nationalist Macedonian "Macedonian Issues" and say he is Bulgarian like 1876 leaders; and also the complex and conflictual nature of the BMARC can't be completely ignored. It seems quite obvious to me that statements like "Tito invented the Macedonians" are crap; there are clear signs of the start of a process of ethnogenesis and the birth of differentiating identities. But this is only an opinion, I really can't say what nationality to give them. Probably the best thing, would be to prefer Bulgarian, eventually noting, if this emerges, what Bulgarian meant, and if their actions were for restoring the Bulgarian Empire or build a Macedonian state independent or loosely federated with Bulgaria.--Aldux 20:48, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

I see you retired the question, but I only saw this after posting the message. I'm a bit slow in writing messages, you see.--Aldux 20:52, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
OK, but can you call Julius Ceasar an Italian for that matter? You are right, it's a bit different, because of the roman province of Italia, so Italian can be used in a geographical sense too. But I doubt that the etruscans are Italians in the ethnic sense.   /FunkyFly.talk_   20:54, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Obvious the Etruscans were ethnic Italians; and I'm one of them! ;-)))))))))) Well, we are called Tuscans; and Tuscan was an alternative name in antiquity for Etruscans. A bit like modern Macedonians. Leaving jokes, I've always insisted that Macedonians before Misirkov's time should not be judged; and my involvement in Macedonia-related issues started on this point, to keep free the List of Macedonians (ethnic group) from the insertion of Alexander, Samuil and Cyril, with User:Macedonia constantly trying to reinsert them.--Aldux 20:33, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
OK, my apologies. Shouldnt you be insisting that Miladinov Brothers, Kuzman Shapkarev, Grigor Parlichev and Goce Delchev. be exluded also, because they were before Krste Misirkov too?   /FunkyFly.talk_   21:57, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Improvement of the <ref> function.

Have you seen user talk:FrancisTyers#Prlichev & Miladinov brothers.--Telex 20:03, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image

I've made a better (temporary) image for Macedonian Slavs. The problem is, I have doubts that Jankulovski really is Macedonian - see who added that. Other issues involve Vlatko having targeted United Macedonia, trying to legitimize their claims (see WP:MWNB). --Telex 14:31, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Looks good now.   /FunkyFly.talk_   22:52, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Well

I don't know their policy on userpages, without a doubt, TH is being an ass, if FS is being an ass really depends on their policy towards userpages. He may be simply bringing a page inline with guidelines or he may be acting outside his jurisdiction. I don't know. - FrancisTyers · 23:42, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vlatko

You may want to keep an eye on Vlatko. Look at what I had to revert. --Telex 18:37, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Just logged in, thanks for pointing it out. I'm not sure, does he or does he not like the article?   /FunkyFly.talk_   19:28, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

It probably is Vlatkoto. The IP is registered to TU-Plovdiv, and the same IP (hostel.tu-plovdiv.bg) has edited Vlatkoto's userpage before without being reverted [1]. - FrancisTyers · 19:56, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Regarding the copyvio images, I'm still waiting for him to give me a full list. He's reported one so far. I'm going to be in Oslo until mid next week, if he continues to fail I'll deal with it when I get back. - FrancisTyers · 23:51, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Banner of the Krushevo Republic

Cound you see my concerns at Talk:Ilinden-Preobrazhenie Uprising. There is an alleged flag on that article which I think is yet another product of our Republican friends' wild imagination. --Telex 17:02, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Is it about copyrights? Could be a fake, I cant confirm it with other sources.   /FunkyFly.talk_   17:38, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
It's fake (regardless of the likelihood of it being another copyvio)! --Telex 17:52, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Question

Have you seen this edit? Is it true? --Tēlex 16:49, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Sort of, from irredentist perspective, Western Bulgaria would include parts of Serbia as well - Nis, the Republic and most of Northern Greece.   /FunkyFly.talk_   16:54, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

What is your opinion on this? --Tēlex 16:55, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
I'd let it go.   /FunkyFly.talk_   16:58, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

BTW is this accurate? I don't know much about it. --Tēlex 16:57, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Yes.   /FunkyFly.talk_   16:58, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Could you see Macedonia (region)#Controversy: Republic of Macedonia and Bulgaria (near the bottom), and add the latest on the number of republicans with Bulgarian passports. --Tēlex 20:20, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Also, how puerile do you think this is? --Tēlex 23:57, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
Its a decent extension to the article.   /FunkyFly.talk_   00:20, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
What happened to this RADKO organization? And what happened to all these Bulgarian identifying people (Radko included), who claim Bulgarian ethnic origin (for passports)? Why don't they turn up in the census? I think it's pretty rich our republican friends complaining about UMO Ilinden Pirin et al, when they do the same things. --Tēlex 00:24, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
The organization as a political party was banned for being separatist, but continues some form of cultural activity.   /FunkyFly.talk_   00:27, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
Who, RADKO or UMO Ilinden Pirin? --Tēlex 00:29, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
Ratko and UMO.   /FunkyFly.talk_   00:48, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

The comma you added here distorts the meaning. --Tēlex 19:25, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

+ ::: What an utter disapoitment are you, FF. At least User:VMORO had spine to represent Bulgarian views. He is an intelegant man and I hold deep respect for him. You, on the other hand, are allying with Greeks. Pathetic and pitiful.--Cigor 19:40, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, the infamous Ethiopio-Tatarian Axis of evil.--Tēlex 19:55, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

Ah yes, poison ivy. I wonder whose Bulgarian ancestors around here are the ashamed ones. --Tēlex 20:39, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

Whatever... I hope FF is intelligent enough to differ spade to heart...--Cigor 20:52, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
Quite. --Tēlex 20:53, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
Cigor, you're not the first making those accusations, and maybe not the last one.   /FunkyFly.talk_   23:57, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

FF, have you seen Vlatko's vandalism to Macedonism? He got reverted by a vandalism reverting bot. --Tēlex 23:58, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I seem to have missed the show.   /FunkyFly.talk_   23:59, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
Ok, than so I guess you allready knew you are their pawn. My apologies, I thought you were genuine Bulgarian nationalist. --Cigor 01:34, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
Your conclusions mean little to me.   /FunkyFly.talk_   01:49, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
