Funky Flashman is a fictional character, an entrepreneur in the DC Universe. Created by Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in the pages of Mister Miracle during the early 1970s.

[edit] Fictional character biography

Funky Flashman was briefly Mister Miracle's manager and was inspired by Kirby's former partner, Stan Lee. The idea for his creation started back in 1972. Funky is a flamboyant, fast-talking con man who later created a second Secret Society of Super Villains. He had a servant named Houseroy.

In Funky's original appearance, he is convinced by Lois Lane to switch from superhero merchandise to supervillain. This angers the villains who have not been cut in on the profit from their likness.

Funky is later featured in many issues of Mister Miracle's own series. Tying into events in Justice League International, Funky forces Mister Miracle, AKA Scott Free, into an interstellar promotional campaign for the cleaning product Miracle Mister. This tour ends up involving Manga Khan and the forces Apokolips, both dangerous threats. The robotic double Mister Miracle is forced to leave behind, so as to go on Funky's trip, is destroyed, leading many to believe Scott Free himself had died.

He last appeared in 2005's Son of Vulcan mini-series as the proprietor of a Pawn Shop that dealt in superhero and villain artifacts and equipment, and as a criminal go-between and procuror for a White Martian named A'monn A'mokk.

[edit] Powers and abilities
