Funebre were a death metal band formed in Turku, Finland in 1988. They released two demos, a 7" EP and a full-length studio album before disbanding in 1991.[1] They were one of the first Finnish death metal bands together with Abhorrence, preceding bands such as Amorphis, Demigod, Demilich and Sentenced. Xtreem Music re-released the band's long out of print 1991 LP Children of the Scorn in 2004. The album was originally released by Spinefarm Records and produced by Stratovarius guitarist Timo Tolkki.[2]
