Fundamentals of Physics is a calculus based physics textbook by David Halliday, Robert Resnick, and Jearl Walker (author of The Flying Circus of Physics). The textbook is currently in its eighth edition, with the first edition published in the late 1970s. It is widely used in colleges as part of the undergraduate physics courses, and has been well-known to science and engineering students for decades as "the gold standard" of sophomore-level physics texts.

The textbook covers most of the basic topics in physics:

The extended edition also contains introductions to topics such as Quantum Mechanics, Atomic Theory, Solid State Physics, Nuclear Physics and Cosmology. A Student Solutions Manual and Student Study Guide are also available.
