From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Created in São Paulo, in 1947, over the estate of the bon vivant Armando Álvares Penteado, Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP) is a Higher Education institution. It has regular courses of Arts, Communications, Engineering, Law, Computer Science, Economics and Business Administration. It also teaches MBA level courses. Faap is one of the best (if not the best) Film schools in Brazil.

The Foundation also provides High School level education and is an important cultural center in São Paulo, housing a theater (Teatro Faap) and the Museu de Arte Brasileira (Museum of Brazilian Art). Faap halls also receive important exhibits, most notably in the last few years, a Chinese art exhibit and the "Tresures of the Czars", with items that once belonged to the Russian sovereigns (including one of the famous Fabergé eggs).
