FUN radio is a children's radio station in the UK. It's operated by Children's Radio UK Ltd which is owned by GCap Media, Hit Entertainment and the children's radio campaigner Susan Stranks.
It broadcasts on DAB Digital Radio in a number of areas, on, Virgin Media channel 926, on Sky Channel 0112 and online at www.funradiolive.com.
History
It went on-air in May 2005 and was created by Matt Deegan, Gregory Watson, John Hirst and Jenny Nelson from GCap Media, Vici Woolgar and Chris Skala from Hit Entertainment and advisors Susan Stranks and David Kingsley.
[edit] Cutbacks
As part of a number of cutbacks in DAB broadcasting made by GCap in January 2008, FUN radio was removed from most DAB multiplexes across the UK. It will continue to broadcast online, and on DAB in Greater London only.
