[edit] About

Rides at Fun-Plex include a slick track, bumper boats, bumper cars, and go-gator kiddie coaster. There is a waterpark with a wave pool, five story waterslides, a lazy river, and a children's pool. Other rides include the Chaos, the Rock-O-Ride, and a Tilt-A-Whirl, as well as a classic carousel and the Balloon Ferris Wheel. In 2007 the facility boasted new go-karts and a larger track, as well a new 18-hole miniature golf.[4] In 2007 the park introduced the "Big Ohhhh...", Nebraska's only roller coaster.[5] The coaster has been used at several other parks previous to coming to Fun-Plex.[6]

In 2008 the park is expecting good attendance because of increasing gas prices. A park spokeswoman said, "It could really help us if people decide they don't want to pay the extra gas to go on a long car ride. Maybe they'll stay local and use those funds here."[7]

[edit] Controversies

In 2004 the park had a major accident on a ride called "The Spider." Four children were injured.[8] In 2007 the park was involved in a promotion with Coca Cola that was improperly executed, leaving consumers to pay admission for what they thought was a free pass.[9]
