Fulton Street is a station on the IND Crosstown Line of the New York City Subway, located on Lafayette Avenue between South Portland Avenue and Fulton Street in Brooklyn.
The station has two side platforms. The southbound platform has a full-time fare control exit leading up to Fulton Street, and a crossunder leads to the Queens-bound platform. That platform has a full-time unstaffed entrance and exit at Lafayette Avenue and South Portland Avenue.
This station is decorated with vent grills in the ceiling and has a light green with medium green border paint scheme. There are also an old black and white Fulton signs on the center I-beams.
The Brooklyn Academy of Music is located about one block west from the station. The Long Island Rail Road's Flatbush Avenue station and the Atlantic Terminal Mall are about three blocks southwest from the station. Brooklyn Technical High School is located on the block of the Fulton Street entrance.
The station is located very close to the Lafayette Avenue station on the IND Fulton Street Line. Riders on Manhattan-bound A and C trains can catch a glipse of the Fulton Street station platform through the right-side windows a few seconds after leaving that station. There is also a track-qualified employee-only connection between the two stations.
