Fulton is a town in Hanson County, South Dakota, United States. It is part of the Mitchell, South Dakota Micropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 86 at the 2000 census.

Fulton is located at 43°43′38″N, 97°49′22″W (43.727173, -97.822639)[3].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.2 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 86 people, 38 households, and 29 families residing in the town. The population density was 100.7 people per square mile (39.1/km²). There were 41 housing units at an average density of 48.0/sq mi (18.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 100.00% White.

There were 38 households out of which 23.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 76.3% were married couples living together, 2.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.1% were non-families. 21.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.26 and the average family size was 2.60.

In the town the population was spread out with 17.4% under the age of 18, 3.5% from 18 to 24, 25.6% from 25 to 44, 29.1% from 45 to 64, and 24.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 48 years. For every 100 females there were 100.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 82.1 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $26,875, and the median income for a family was $30,000. Males had a median income of $26,875 versus $22,813 for females.
