Full Effect Records is an American independent record label founded sometime in the very early 2000's by Cleveland rap artist K.I.N.G.
To date, Full Effect Records has not had a major release despite a strong internet following. Piggybacking the early growth of social networking websites such as MySpace and BlackPlanet, K.I.N.G. generated considerable buzz for Full Effect with various recorded freestyle raps over instrumentals of popular songs at the time. The sound quality of these freestyles was often dubious at best. It is rumored that the recordings were made using a desktop PC and nothing more. It is this minimalistic presentation that largely fueled circulation of the recordings as "raw, street level Hip Hop".
K.I.N.G. is currently under contract to Asylum Records as a solo artist and has confirmed that Full Effect Records will continue to be distributed independently on the internet.
