The 2003-04 season was Fulham's third consecutive season in the top league of English football, the Barclaycard Premiership and it would turn out to be their most successful for many years. The club was managed for the entirety by former player Chris Coleman, who replaced Jean Tigana at the end of the 2002-03 season.

Fulham were near the top of the table after the first few months of the season after a great start to the campaign and consisently remained in the top-half throughout the course of the season. They ended up finishing in 9th position, only 4 points behind Newcastle United F.C, who finished 5th in the table. It was a great debut season for Chris Coleman as manager particularly as they had to cope for half the season without their top goalscorer, Louis Saha, who left for Manchester United.
