From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Fulbright Association is a U.S.-based membership organization of Fulbright Program alumni and supporters committed to fostering international awareness and understanding through:
- Advocating increased worldwide support for Fulbright exchanges;
- Enriching the Fulbright experience; and
- Facilitating lifelong interaction among alumni and current participants.
The Fulbright Association, founded in 1977 by a group of Fulbright alumni in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and supported by Senator Fulbright until his death in 1995, has grown to an organization of more than 9,000 members. The Fulbright Association supports a network of alumni-run chapters across the United States that host alumni activities, educational and cultural programs, and enrichment activities for visiting Fulbrighters.
