Fujiwara no Maro

Fujiwara no Maro (藤原麻呂? 695-737) was a Japanese politician of Nara period. The forth son of Fujiwara no Fuhito, founder of Fujiwara clan, he founded Kyōke, a kuge (court noble) family. His mother was Ioe no Iratsume, former wife of Emperor Temmu. Among his children was Fujiwara no Hamanari.
