"Scarlet" fuchsia
The image is from William Curtis' The Botanical Magazine, published in 1789. It was found on the USDA website. [1] (Very much in the public domain.)
As of the publish date of the magazine the plant was called Fuchsia coccinea; the modern taxonomy is Fuchsia magellanica macrostema.
This image is in the public domain because its copyright has expired in the United States and those countries with a copyright term of no more than the life of the author plus 100 years. |
