Fußball-Bundesliga 1991-92
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Final table of the 1st Bundesliga in Germany.
As German reunification had taken place in October 1990 during the previous 1990/91 season, the Bundesliga was expanded to 20 teams in 1991/92 to accommodate the best two East German clubs of the former DDR-Oberliga (Dynamo Dresden, Hansa Rostock) without having to demote West German clubs.
In order to reduce the number of clubs to 18 again for the next season, 4 would be relegated, while only 2 would be promoted.
