[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!
Hello Fted, welcome to Wikipedia!
I noticed nobody had said hi yet... Hi!
If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.
You might like some of these links and tips:

- Find out how to revert, move and merge pages.
- Sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~).
- Add yourself to the New user log and a regional notice board
- Ask questions at the Village pump or Help desk.
- Use the Show preview button
- Provide an Edit summary
- Add the correct image copyright tag to any images you upload
- Take a look at Consensus of standards
- Create a User page
If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, Alf melmac 23:43, 12 November 2005 (UTC).
[edit] WikiProject Syria
Hi Fted, welcome to the 'pedia and thanks for joining WP:SY. We're happy to see a new member in our ranks. I would like to know a little information about you, perhaps tell us about yourself in your user page? You may add the WikiProject participants' userbox (using the template "{{User WP Syria}}") to join the category of the participants and identify yourself as a member. I noticed your remarkable work on the article Zakaria Tamer. You know, with a little work, I think I can bring this to GA status. We'll hopefully do that someday. Leave me a message if you need any directions or assistance. Regards, Anas talk? 19:31, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- FYI, an article on Muhammed Almagut already exists. You can expand it. - Anas talk? 11:23, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
briliant, thanks for the info. (Fted 12:22, 31 March 2007 (UTC)).
- Also, see Muhammad al-Maghut. Is this a more accurate name? The articles should be merged anyway. Thanks for your efforts. Asabbagh 07:48, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- And merge them I did. Muhammad al-Maghut is the more correct name and is even used by credible sources like Britannica. Warmly, Anas talk? 10:18, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Flagging Nazir Nabaa for further review
Hello, Fted … I recently encountered the article about Nazir Nabaa and in my opinion, it either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the Notability criteria for Biographies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it violates a copyright.
I am considering tagging Deletion policy … I do not have time to examine the article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.
for deletion according to theI have created this initial entry on your Talk page because you are either the original author of the article, or else a recent contributor to it; I will leave more detailed information regarding my specific concerns about the article on its Discussion page … please respond either there or on this Talk page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation.
Be sure to read Ownership of articles, and remember that other editors may not share your opinion about the notability of the article's subject.
I do not mean to imply that your contribution is unappreciated … perhaps you should read Your first article … and remember, there was a time when I knew less about how Wikipedia works than you know right now. — Triwbe (talk) 10:35, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
