[edit] Rationale of fair use for FTC Networks

I, User:MickHarmeling, feel it is covered by fair use because:

  1. This picture is important because it demonstrates one of FTC Networks' prominant services.
  2. No free or public domain images have been located for this service.
  3. The screenshot does not limit the copyright owners' rights to distribute the service in any way.
  4. The screenshot is intended to represent this service (FTC Mode Dialogue), and only this service. Its inclusion in the article is important because it is a presentation of the said service in action. The image accompanies a section in the article that discusses the service in question.
  5. The screenshot is being used for informational purposes only, and its use is not believed to detract from the service in any way.
  6. I have received and am in possession of written permission from FTC Networks, LLC that reads as follows:

Dear Mr. Harmeling,

Please find attached a screenshot of the FTC Mode Dialogue as requested. This letter shall additionally confirm our agreement to permit you to use the FTC Network Logo, Name and the attached screenshot graphic for non-commercial purposes, specifically for use on a Wikipedia article you are authoring about FTC. This license shall constitute a GNU Free Documentation License as that term is used and understood by Wikipedia.

Regards,

Todd Johnson Chief Network Administrator and Network Manager 877-798-8684 Ext. 503
