Frutigen is a municipality in the Bernese Oberland in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. It is the capital of the district of Frutigen.
Settled since Roman times, today the main focus of its economy is the hydraulics industry, slate mining and tourism.
The town of Frutigen is at the northern point of the new Lötschberg Base Tunnel
