Hey I'm froth. My real name is Brian and I am a student in the United States studying computer science. My interests right now are bit twiddling and philosophy. I work mostly with Windows XP and Windows Vista- and I hate Mac OS X and the Mac fanclub surrounding it. I'm also irritated by the awful dependency resolution in all Linux distros, and think it's mind-numbingly stupid to have to compile things from source for an instruction set as common as mine. I contribute from a Thinkpad T60 with a 2.16ghz Intel Core Duo processor, 2048MiB of DDR2 SDRAM, and a 128MB ATI Mobility Radeon x1400 discrete graphics card. I spend much of my time playing video games. I've spent weeks of elapsed time in the MMORPGs Maple Story, World of Warcraft, and Guild Wars. The games I'm currently focusing on are the Insurgency Half-Life 2 mod and Guild Wars. My favorite books are GEB, Snow Crash, the Ringworld series, and The Stranger. My favorite movies are The Godfather trilogy. My favorite TV shows are M*A*S*H, FLCL, Serial Experiments Lain, Cowboy Bebop, Doctor Who, and Star Trek (with the exception of Enterprise). I have an "Arylsulfatase A pseudodeficiency" which is related to metachromatic leukodystrophy. Fortunately, "in rare cases the body can compensate for the deficiency and the person will exhibit no symptoms". Please see here for my committed identity hash. If my account is ever compromised, I will be able to use it to prove my identity and regain control over my account. Note that the above link is listed only for convenience- an imposter could easily change it. However, I am always able to provide a link to the oldest revision of the hash on my userpages. Once an intervening authority acknowledges the authenticity of the hash, I will be able to provide the original string that produced the hash. The authority will then be able to verify with a SHA-512 hash function (in coreutils or online) that I am the authentic owner of the account. The Barnstar of Good Humour from Mgm
