this article needs to mention the fact that this case is a federal case, and therefore the Equal Protection Clause does not directly apply; rather, it must be proxied through precedent cases to be assumed under the 5th Amendment... also, this court case needs one of those little side-thingies. I don't have time right now to make these changes, hopefully I will later Jxn 17:14, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
