Front curtain

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A front curtain is a stage curtain in front of a stage.

It is usually raised at the beginning of a performance to reveal the stage set, and lowered at the end.

Front curtains can be operated by ropes or chains in a fly system.

There are different models - some are rolled up like window blinds, while others - mostly the smaller ones - are pulled aside by diagonal ropes.
