"From the Cradle to the Grave" was the first single from the Manchester post-punk band, Crispy Ambulance. It was recorded on the Graveyard Studios in England an was released on April 1980 as a double A-Side on a 7" format on their self-made label Aural Assault after being initially rejected by Rough Trade and Factory Records. The idea of having a label made to release their first single came from Joy Division Manager Rob Gretton[2].
