Frol is a former municipality in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway.

It was created by the split of Levanger formannskapsdistrikt in 1856. Frol was known as Levanger landsogn at the time. Its area was enlarged in 1874 as two uninhabited parts of Skogn were moved to Frol by royal resolution. On 13 November 1951 a district in Frol with 51 inhabitants was moved to Levanger.

On 1 January 1962 Frol was reincorporated into Levanger municipality. Prior to the merger Frol had a population of 3.774.
