Frogdice, Inc. (formerly known as Threshold Virtual Environments, Inc.) is a computer game development company that was founded in 1998 by Michael A. Hartman. It is an American company, based in Lexington, Kentucky. Frogdice is a leading worldwide developer of online role playing games. Threshold RPG is the flagship game of the company, and its new game, Primordiax, is scheduled for release in fall 2008. In its early years, it was a solo company with a single developer. The company, and its staff, have grown significantly since then. Threshold RPG has an active staff of 3 developers and numerous volunteers. Primordiax has a staff of 11[1].

Frogdice, Inc. was originally founded as Threshold Virtual Environments, Inc. in 1998. When the company relocated to Lexington, Kentucky in 2004 it was renamed to reflect its pure entertainment and gaming focus. Previously, Threshold Virtual Environments worked on non-game virtual environments in addition to games.
In November of 2003, Threshold RPG was featured in Computer Games Magazine[2] where it was praised as a game that "emphasizes roleplaying and story and boasts fervent players."
