Frog Island, London

Frog Island is an island on the River Thames at Rainham, London at grid reference TQ515805.
It is the location of the mechanical biological treatment works of the East London Waste Authority.[1] The facility turns 50% of processed waste into refuse-derived fuel, and recovers metals and glass.[2]
