Desde un Principio: From the Beginning is a greatest hits album by Marc Anthony. It was released in 1999. This album contains songs from his early salsa career and two duetos, plus one song, "Preciosa", by Rafael Hernandez Marin. Due to the sake of length, many of the song endings were shortened to make enough storage for the CD. The only songs to not be shortened were "No Me Ames", "Si Tu No Te Fueras", and "Vivir Lo Nuestro".
