[edit] Images

We can appreciate that you are willing to make the effort to upload pictures, but please add the source and copyright license to each image that you upload. None of the images that you have added so far have any information. There is a tag for software screen shots and one for company logos. Click here Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags

[edit] Commercial spam

Hi, the page you created about your company constitutes advertising, which is not what Wikipedia is for. See Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not. Also please don't continue to add your company name to other pages. Many thanks, SlimVirgin (talk) 07:31, September 5, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Need some guidelines

I share your concerns in poluting Wikipedia with marketing and have no problems with removing any aspects which can be construed as marketing or removing the page in its entirity. The page has, however, been closely modeled on other company pages included in Wikipedia. What are the criteria for company pages on Wikipedia? I am sure it cannot be company size?? Shall address source and copyright on those files where I have not yet done so. FritzSolms

I can't give you an exact definition maybe as well as some that have been around for a really long time, but I will attempt this. Considering that Wikipedia is built on sources, then it is important to have each article backed by valid sources. What is a valid source? Well, magazines, newspapers, journals, etc... For example There is a relatively small company 100 people, but they have been noted in journals for what they are trying to accomplish (along with their [no pun intended] competitors). If URDAD is a authentic technique then it should have accompanying references to back up its existence (worldwide, because otherwise it can just be biased to a local place). If your company was noted for making such ground breaking techniques, I am sure your company would have an article before you could start one. Hope this helps. --None-of-the-Above 21:07, 5 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] OK, aggreed, should be deleted

On second reading I aggree that the page should be deleted. Still, I'd be interested in the guidelines for company pages. FritzSolms

If you agree it should be deleted, you can add {{delete}} to the top of the page, and that will allow me to delete it without a vote. SlimVirgin (talk) 23:55, September 5, 2005 (UTC)
Actually I've just checked the policy, and I can do it without a tag now that you've agreed, so I'll do that now. See Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion. Many thanks for agreeing, as it saves us having to go through a vote. SlimVirgin (talk) 23:59, September 5, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Please check your images

I noticed that you have some images in the category Category:Images with unknown source. Due to the vast number of images in this category (12000+), and the fact that, lacking a source, they present considerable copyright uncertanty, Jimbo has stated, and added to the Criteria for Speedy Deletion, "Images in category "Images with unknown source" or "Images with unknown copyright status" which have been in the category for more than 7 days, regardless of when uploaded." This means the images can, and will, be deleted with no notice. To see a list of all the images you've uploaded(at least, under this username), review the upload log. If you have any questions, please let me know. JesseW, the juggling janitor 17:46, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
