Overview
Friendx.com is a social networking website for individuals to create networks of virtual communities where friends can share blogs, uploaded photos, vlog or videolog, and chat with each other. Friendx currently has thousands of registered and active members. Friendx services are offered as free but members need to pay for premium services which include mobile services such as MMS to blog and Cupid service (a form of matchmaking technique) where members can find virtual date or match. There is also an avatar function which users can personalize the virtual representation of oneself in the virtual world of social networking. In the avatar, users may purchase virtual items such as furniture, electronics, or pet via mobile.

Friendx Features
Clubs - sometimes referred to as Groups
Friendx has a Clubs feature which allows a group of members to share a common space and message board. Clubs can be created by anybody, and the moderator of the Club can choose for anyone to participate, or to approve or deny requests to join the Club. Clubs are a place where people with the same interests gather and band together. Members can create new clubs to amass their own collection of friends of join existing clubs in FriendX.com

Chat Service
Users can engage in a chat session via WAP on mobile or individuals can leave messages for friends from mobile.

Voting Service
Users can vote for most popular female or male profiles in the Hall of Fame. However, this is a premium service and requires a credit charge via mobile for every vote.

Photo Gallery Service
Members can upload a picture to their profile. The purpose of this is to let other members know who they are connecting with. Users can also upload photos of places that they have been to, things they have seen or any other memorable moments they want to share with others. This is a form of experience sharing with friends but sometimes this feature is abuse when users upload unsolicited images that infringe copyrights or trademarks. Friendx administrator has the right to revoke or deny these images in the photo gallery.

Criticism
Spam
Some users abuse the blogs and forums services to spam information for doing businesses such as selling prepaid cards and illicit businesses but Friendx will remove or delete these unhealthy postings after assessments over a period of time.

Copyright and Trademark Infringements
Videos uploaded in the Vlog or Video Log may infringe some copyrights or trademarks and may escape the scope of Friendx securities. Friendx has started cleaning the vlogs of illegal uploads when other social networking sites was plague by similar violation issue. It has also beefed up it’s terms of services to protect its own interest.

Child Safety and Pornography
Similar to spam issues, users may abuse photos and vlog services for uploading pornography or illicit images that is inappropriate for children. Friendx has required members to be at least 16 years of age to register or with parents consent as security measure.
