Welcome to Wikipedia, Fribbler! I am Milk's Favorite Cookie and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

[edit] Adoption

If you want me to adopt you, simply leave a note on my talk page. Thanks! - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:25, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi, Fribbler. I am suggesting to take Milk's Favorite Cookie's offer to adopt you. He is very experienced. Trust me, I see him in alot of talk pages and articles. I am also looking for someone to adopt.--RyRy5 (talk) 00:24, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Ok. First things first, you might want to change {{adoptme|20080222215317}} to {{adoptee|Milk's Favorite Cookie}} - Milk's Favorite Cookie 22:03, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
You see, I didn't even know how to change it! Therein lies the problem Fribbler (talk) 02:12, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

  • I wouldn't mind adopting you if you still want to, I've adopted before so I know what I'm doing... Highfields (talk) (contribs) 14:45, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
    • ps. If youve already accepted I dont mind, thanks in anticipation Highfields (talk) (contribs) 14:47, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Wiki-programming

Hi there. To add a template just: {{TEMPLATENAMEHERE}} obviously replacing "TEMPLATENAMEHERE" with the template name. To see how to create a userbox, simply go here Hope this helps, and as always feel free to ask me any further questions. Best, - MILK'S FAVORITE COOKIE (Talk) 02:16, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Not always

No, I'm not always right! It's just that I make enough contributions that on the law of averages I'm probably right some of the time, like a monkey on a typewriter :)

Anyway, thanks very much for your nice comment about me (flattery goes a long way! <grin>), but my real reason for coming here was to say that it's quite acceptable change your mind at AFD, or on any other discussion on wikipedia ... indeed, I'd go further, and say that its actually encouraged as an important part of consensus-forming. The principle is that these are discussions, not votes, win which we should all listen carefully to each others arguments, and be ready to change our mind if persuaded.

When people change their mind, they will often refer to their contribution as "!vote" (computer-speak for a "not-vote"), to underline the point. They way this is normally done is to strike out your previous  !vote (using <s> </s> tags), and then write a new !vote saying why you changed your mind, as in this example

  • Delete No references at all to establish notability per WP:BIO, may not even exist. --ElectricBanana, 10:55 UTC
    • changing my !vote, see below. --ElectricBanana, 13:21 UTC
  • Keep. Notability established per WP:BIO through refs (now added to the article) to feature articles on xxxxxx in the Ballyporeen Examiner, the Allihies Independent and the Glendalough Gazette. --AgnosticKangaroo 12:13 UTC
    • Keep per AgnosticKangaroo (changing my !vote). --ElectricBanana, 13:21 UTC

Hope this helps! --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 01:37, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Transition Towns

Well done! Did you know that you can also nominate the article so it will appear on the Main Page? The rules are available here. After you are sure the article meets the rules, visit this page and add the fact from the article under the day it was created. See some examples available there first. Overall, very nice job on the article. Best, Milk’s Favorite Cookie (Talk) 15:00, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] DYK

Well done. It looks like you will get a DYK. Very pleased. Lets see if you can go the next 2 months with 100% edit summary usage. Are you up for the challenge? « Milk's Favorite Cookie ( talk / contribs) 02:17, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Oh! Why, thank you! Yeah, I'm up for the challenge. I think the "prompt me when I enter a blank edit summary" part of the preferences will help, so I switched it on. Regards! Fribbler (talk) 01:02, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hotclaws

Well, I think my comment still stands, Hotclaws never seems to contribute anything useful... Adam Bishop (talk) 06:28, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Troll pix

I took my question off the help desk, because as you said someone had already taken care of it. It is sad, though that humanity can't seem to overcome a stage in development where individuals gain enjoyment by hurting others and interfering with things that please them. One of the next generations, maybe. Lisa4edit (talk) 19:59, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Wiki Cup

It was a type of tournament/competition. See this for more info. Unfortunately, it is too late to join. Hope to see you next time! Best, « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie ( talk / contribs) 01:36, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the references and your appreciation of my first article. Hello963 20 May08

[edit] Steatorrhea

I, possibly rudely, edited your post on the Science Ref. Desk in-case someone, perhaps the OP found it offensive. FWIW, I personally thought it was a little funny, but also felt bad after laughing. You can revert it if you like; I probably wont notice, let alone contest it, but I thought telling you first would risk more people getting offended. ----Seans Potato Business 21:32, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Nery Brenes

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Nery Brenes, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Nery Brenes seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Nery Brenes, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Luitpoldarena & Luitpoldhalle, Nuremberg

Fine assist on these, Fribbler! I've added your helpful (and nicely formatted ;-) internal links to that first mention on the page for Luitpold, Prince Regent of Bavaria. Have yet to decide what, if anything, to do about the Nuremberg page as this will take more reading than I can tackle at present. Most valuable is the Nazi party rally grounds page I hadn't discovered while seeking identifying material on these locales. So, many thanks! -- Deborahjay (talk) 12:35, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Cheers for the personalised thanks :-) Fribbler (talk) 12:46, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
