A quick Google search shows that the anon who wrote this stub is not the only person who perceives a lot of LBGT subtext in the movie. However, the idea that they cast a lesbian in the role of the lead's GF to make the subtext happen is unsustainable; Amanda Bearse did not publicly come out until 1993, eight years after Fright Night.
