[edit] Tic-Tac-Toe
hrwiki.org says that the tic-tac-toe game is unwinnable against the computer. What, it always goes first?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.72.21.221 (talk • contribs) 01:09, 14 April 2007
- I don't ever recall winning. However, I believe that tic-tac-toe is one of those games that is always going to end in stalemate if you're careful -- it's literally an unwinnable game. /Blaxthos 08:58, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- I was the one that wrote that on hrwiki.org, and yes, Friendlyware tic-tac-toe was unwinnable. In fact, the software explicitly said so in the instructions. It's actually not difficult to learn to play a perfect tic-tac-toe game every time, regardless of who goes first. ("Perfect" meaning that all games you play result in either a win or a tie; see Tic-tac-toe#Strategy.) The Friendlyware version allowed the player to choose who goes first.
