Friedrich August Ferdinand Christian Went (June 18, 1863, Amsterdam — July 24, 1935, Wassenaar) was a Dutch botanist, professor of botany and director of the Botanical Garden at the University of Utrecht. He is mainly known for his work on plant hormones, specifically the role of auxin in phototropism.
Went was the father of Dutch botanist Frits Warmolt Went.
