Frisco Liberty High School

Liberty High School is a high school located in Frisco, Texas, part of the Frisco Independent School District. Liberty opened for the first time to students on August 14, 2006 in what is now Fowler Middle School. The school's mascot is the red hawk, and its colors are red, black and silver. Liberty High School's Principal is Mr. Waldrip.

[edit] Academic Decathlon

The Liberty High School Academic Decathlon team, in only its first year of competition, claimed the Regional Championship (Jan. 19-20) at the 3A Region VII Academic Decathlon Competition at Stephen F. Austin High School in Sugar Land, Texas. The Redhawks By winning the Regional Competition, the Redhawks earn an automatic bid to compete in the State Competition in San Antonio, TX and contend for a chance to represent Texas at the national level.

The team collected all of the 1st place gold medals in every team event, including Super Quiz Overall Team and the Super Quiz Relay, as well as winning 34 of the 99 individual event medals, including 17 Gold, 6 Silver, and 11 Bronze.

They also went on to claim second place at the 2006-2007 state competition.
