Friscoside Wah Ching (華青, Hanyu Pinyin: Huáqīng, Cantonese: Wa4 ching1) also known as "Dub C" is an organized crime gang originated in San Francisco during the early 1960s. At the time, Wah Ching was organized into one enormous gang. Toward the late 1970s, the gang divided into smaller groups known as "sides".
The different sides were ran by the first generation gang members, Sonny, Ken, Paul, and Peter. As the time went on, Sonny Side branched into smaller sides such as Alhambra Side and Monterey Park Side. Alhambra Side members went back to San Francisco during the late 1990s and begin recruiting members, then (San Francisco) chapter of Wah Ching was born and known to be "Frisco Side".
Frisco Side members multiplied as time went on (1990s - present time). There were many turf struggles and inside problems, which led to the split of Frisco Side in early 2003 and was nearly the end of that chapter. After half of the members disbanded, Frisco Side remained active in making illegal money and eventually doubled in their recruiting numbers while they conducted numerous underground business operations and activities. Although there was an inside struggle which occurred, Frisco Side remains active until now (2007), while their lead commander and a few members serve prison time in San Quentin State Prison for an organized Fraud ring in San Francisco and Santa Clara County in 2006.
Frisco Side made large amounts of money since they first reorganized in San Francisco through fraud and grand theft auto. Now they have incorporated their street gang into a far more advanced organization which conduct underground business venturing into everyday legal businesses. Until now, they are still widely active but will be hard to spot since they no longer fall under the street gang profiles, but a highly organized crime group known as Triad Society.[citation needed]
