fripSide

fripSide is a Japanese pop group that started in February 2002. They officially became a part of Visual Art's in 2006, and currently release under elseena-music entertainment. Since 2006, many of their songs have been created for Visual Art's games, as well as other erotic game companies. When the group started, they were releasing their songs on the Japanese amateur and indie community, muzie. fripSide's albums were always high in sales at muzie's online CD shop. As of July 2006, more than 6,000 copies of the three original albums have been sold.[1]

In addition, fripSide has a side group, called "fripSide NAO Project" which started on March 30, 2007. fripSide NAO Project releases songs different from the usual style of fripSide, and does not follow fripSide's motto of "creating songs that everyone can relate to".[2] Currently, 1 album have been released under fripSide NAO project.

  • first odyssey of fripSide - Released on April 12, 2003
  • 2nd fragment of fripSide - Released on March 28, 2004. This album came with an extra video disc containing "sky"'s and "transitory orbit"'s promotional videos, as well as secret site access open that was open until June 2004[3], a demo flash movie of the song "melody" with reset, and the site's opening movie.
  • 3rd reflection of fripSide - Released on June 23, 2005. This album came with liner notes by nao, sat, and others who collaborated.
  • the very best of fripSide 2002-2006 (Doujin Disc) - Released on July 15, 2006. Only 2000 copies were printed, and they sold out within 2 weeks of release. [4]
  • the very best of fripSide 2002-2006 (Commercial Circulation Disc) - Released on December 29, 2006. The first press edition came with an extra 48 pages of "the photograph of fripSide 2006", and a bonus illustration by Miyama. Also, disc 1 track 1, disc 2 track 6 and 14 have been changed from the Doujin Disc.
  • binarydigit - Released in August 24, 2007. The first press edition came in a special box, coupled with a bonus disc containing the album crossfade promotional video and two extra songs: "hurting heart-nao piano arrange-", and "feeling trust".

  • Red-reduction division- (Opening theme for Kanojo-tachi no Ryuugi -Their Styles-) - Released in 2006. This single was only a bonus disk for those who pre-ordered the game.
