The frilled toadfish, Ambophthalmos magnicirrus, is a fathead of the family Psychrolutidae, found on the continental shelf around New Zealand's Macquarie Island. Its length is up to 25 cm.
The frilled toadfish is similar to the pale toadfish but is distinguished by its mottled colour pattern and a covering of large fleshy cirri.
