Friedhelm Funkel (* 10 December 1953 in Neuss) is a German football coach and former player. He has two children. He has coached Eintracht Frankfurt since 2004. He led the club in the Bundesliga in the first season in charge. One year later he and the team avoided relegation and surprisingly reached the German Cup final which sent them eventually to the UEFA Cup.
