Cartoon Network's Fried Dynamite (Fri - Day - Night) first aired on August 31, 2007. Fried Dynamite is the Network's Friday-Saturday hosted block of cartoon shows which airs on every Friday night from 7pm-11pm and Saturday mornings from 9am-12pm [1].

The Friday night show has a comedy-inspired theme, often related to the featured programs for the night. Saturday morning shows are action-oriented as Saturday morning cartoons tend to share an action theme. The Saturday morning skits predominantly feature the Fried Dynamite kids as the Dynamite Action Squad (DAS.)

Fried Dynamite is hosted by Blake Michael. Blake brings his friends on the show to help out with the hosting. Blake's friends that appear on the show most often are Katie, Kamil, Corey, Ryan, Mercedes, and Nickie.

Highlights from the first 4 months of the block include premieres of: "The Haunting Hour: Don't Think About It" starring Emily Osment; Out of Jimmy's Head, a Cartoon Network original series; and the hit Cartoon Network cartoon Chowder [2]. Also, a Fried Dynamite Halloween special included a 1-hour 3-D special with a national campaign to distribute 3-D glasses [3].

Fried Dynamite kicked off 2008 with band interviews of Fall Out Boy [4], Plain White T's and Gym Class Heroes. The host also officially announced The Rise of Darkrai, although Darkrai did not premiere on the Fried Dynamite block. The George of the Jungle cartoon did premiere on the block. A Dynamite Action Squad Animated Series, written and directed by Blake, was also featured one night. The beginning of the year also included parodies of American Idol (Animal Idol) and Criss Angel. Special guests included Baron Davis of the Golden State Warriors[5] and another night featured the Harlem Globetrotters. [6]. The Fried Dynamite gang also produced a music video with a sing-a-long version as well as a making of the music video video. [7]. On one show in May, Blake and Katie interviewed the cast of Speed Racer, featuring interviews with Susan Sarandon, Christina Ricci, Matthew Fox, and Emile Hirsch.

On Friday nights, Blake and his gang host Fried Dynamite, which have bumpers like Gert, Animal Idol, and more. It usually airs comedy shows, and now encores new episodes originally aired on the New Thursday Nights.

[edit] Saturday Mornings (Dynamite Action Squad)

On Saturday mornings, Blake and his gang also host Dynamite Action Squad (DAS.) It consist of action shows; some of them are anime shows, like on Toonami. Right now, the Dynamite Action Squad block is the only block out of the two (Fried Dynamite and DAS) that is showing brand new episodes.
