[edit] WikiProject St. Louis

Hello, I noticed you've made edits to St. Louis articles or that you are in some way connected to metropolitan area. I thought you might want to become a member of the St. Louis WikiProject. We've recently built the project page and started a drive to improve St. Louis related articles. Please take a look to edit an article or add one of your own. Once an article's status has been agreed upon, feel free to stop by and lend a hand in getting it to featured article status. Hope you can participate!

[edit] editing the UMSL article

UMSL is not in St. Louis, Missouri. It is in St. Louis County, Missouri. This is not my opinion, it is a fact. Stl county is of course in greater st. louis, as you said. That is why the category for Universities and colleges in stl county link directly to the universities and colleges for greater stl. I have removed the red link to Categroy:Education in St. Louis because that link does not exist. See,

Category:Education in St. Louis, Missouri
Category:Education in St. Louis County, Missouri
Category:Education in Greater St. Louis

to understand why I have made these adjustments. You will find the first two are both included in the third. "St. Louis" refers to the city of st. louis and the metro area. by separating them, we can now use "St. Louis, Missouri" to refer to the city and "greater st. louis" to refer to the metro area. This should reduce confusion in the future. You may respond here, I will check back with you. DaronDierkes (talk) 07:42, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

I understand the differences in geography of St. Louis since I have lived here my whole life. I also understand the "technical" differences. It just seems excessive to break these down into so many categories. I'm not going to argue over this, it just seems petty, despite being technically accurate. [edit] MU330

I didn't mean to change the MU330 article for the sake of simply changing it. I was only trying to address the concerns expressed in the templates placed on the article. I guess I have not understood what you feel is lacking. Could you describe on the Talk Page what changes would convince you to remove the "Original Research" template? 24.36.21.8 (talk) 03:10, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

I assumed, because your name is so prominent in the edit history of the MU330 article, that you created most of the content. Out of curiosity I examined all forty-three of your edits. On May 22 you added the name "Matt Struckel" to the list of Former Members, which is correct and good. I wouldn't even mention it if it were not, apparently, the only one of your many edits that adds any content at all. The rest are deletions and reversions of other people's work, the appending of tags saying This Article Needs This or This Article Doesn't Have That, and the addition of unsourced and apparently erroneous statements to the effect that [1] Gerry Lundquist is no longer with the band or that [2] Dan Potthast is no longer with the band or that [3] the band has disbanded. If you do not wish to add constructive content, then instead of preventing other people from doing so, could you at least conduct your criticism from the Talk Page, where your concerns can be discussed by any interested parties and a consensus reached? 24.36.21.8 (talk) 18:18, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
My friend...it has already established that someone else had been using my account, and wrote those things. I am sorry you had not been privy to such info, please becareful of accusations. Freemasonx (talk) 15:30, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
