Float around until you find something that tickles your fancy. One easy way to do this is to hit the random page button in the navigation bar to the left. Additionally, the Community Portal offers a more structured way to become acquainted with the many great committees and groups that focus on specific tasks. My personal favorite stomping grounds are Wikipedia:Translation into English as well as the cleanup, welcoming, and counter-vandalism committees. FredrikT, I'm so happy you are here too! Yes, I spent my first college years climbing the steps of Kungshuset, but then I came under the spell of Ulf Teleman's fascinating lectures in that ugly modern building by UB1 and eventually found my way to Calif., to spend time under Peter Ladefoged's gentle guidance (bless his soul) in a ridiculously ivy-league-romance retro building a la westcoast. I was always too restless (uhm, ok, that's a euphemism for "disorganized" and "easily excited/easily distracted") to climb the career ladder in any of those buildings, so it thrills me to no end to find old classmates in totally yaw-dropping positions of academic authority in Kungshuset and the Apsalon buildings now. I peeked at your Swedish page..which is why I'm full of smiles. If I had to pick a picture of the archetypical, friendly, open, original Lunda-intellectual, I'd pick yours.
