A tag has been placed on Braian Demuth, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ~a (user • talk • contribs) 17:56, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hello.
I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Also, don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thanks again, and happy editing. ~a (user • talk • contribs) 21:03, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:7201.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:7201.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Ws2003.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Ws2003.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:24, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Ws2003.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Ws2003.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 00:01, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notability of Stanley Rosenblatt
A tag has been placed on Stanley Rosenblatt, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay.
Accounting4Taste 23:27, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
- You should be aware of the policy at WP:SPEEDY, of which this is an excerpt:
"Any user who is not the creator of a page may remove a speedy tag from it. The creator may not do this; if they disagree with the speedy deletion, they should add ((hangon)) to the page, and explain their rationale on the page's discussion page."
I'm not going to go any further with this because it appears that you are making a good faith effort to improve the article. It still requires references to things like newspaper articles, magazine stories, etc., in order to make a better case for notability. But please use the ((hangon)) tag next time. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. Accounting4Taste 23:36, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright status of Stanley Rosenblatt
Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Stanley Rosenblatt. For legal reasons, we will delete copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites (http://http://www.manhattan-institute.org/html/_wsj-a_spanking_for_trial.htm in this case) or from printed material.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:
-
- If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article's talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Stanley Rosenblatt with a link to where we can find that note;
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article's talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Stanley Rosenblatt with a link to the details.
Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own original words to avoid any copyright infringement. Thank you. Accounting4Taste 00:07, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
I appreciate that you're trying to get this message out, but I'm sure you can understand that if Wikipedia gets busted for copyright violation it would be very expensive. If you re-write this article in your own words, that would be (more or less) fine. Accounting4Taste 00:07, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] James S. Roth
A {{prod}} template has been added to the article James S. Roth, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. —Wknight94 (talk) 15:49, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summary
I have noticed that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! [edit] Notability of Dallas Trahern
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Dallas Trahern, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Dallas Trahern seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Dallas Trahern, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. - Hi there. Check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Baseball#Guidelines for the criteria of baseball player notability. Looking over Dallas Trahern's history, I can't see how he would fit any of the criteria. All the best, --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 22:31, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] New Miami stadium
Thanks for all your work keeping this issue updated ion the team page, and on cleaning up the new page. I've discussed some options of the Talk:Florida Marlins page, and would like your input there. I'm also going to try to AFD-proof the New Miami stadium, so if the stadium deal falls through - as many others donw there have! - we can salvage the page before it get's deleted.
As I said on the team talk page, I think it's a losing battle this week to try to discourage the new stadium pages, because one will be created everytime news comes out for the next few weeks. I still believe a separate page for the stadium/relocation issues is the best bet, because of the very long history of on-and-off deals in South FLorida. For now, though, we can leave that content at New Miami stadium. Once the deal is final, and new info on the stadiums comes out, we can split off the stadium/relocation issues to a separate page.
If you have some other strategy ideas, we can discuss them here or on my talk page. If both of us are in agreement on a strategy, it will help us to get ahead of the stadium crufters and the AFD-zealots. Thanks. - BillCJ (talk) 23:32, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Possibly unfree Image:Miamistadium.jpg
An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Miamistadium.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. Please stop leaving your snarky comments in edit summaries. Were it not for the fact that you can be a good contributor, I would have reported you already. This is not high school here, and such behavior is not tolerated. Grow up, please, and stop behaving like you own the Florida Marlins page. Thanks. - BillCJ (talk) 02:30, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Marlins top Draft picks
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Marlins top Draft picks, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] AfD nomination of Marlins top Draft picks
An editor has nominated Marlins top Draft picks, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Marlins top Draft picks and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 01:44, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Julie.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Julie.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] New Miami stadium
Do you think we should move the article New Miami stadium, to New Marlins stadium?
Also, the deal has not been approved. It's been agreed to by the Marlins, the City of Miami, and the County of Miami-Dade. But it still needs to be approved by the City and County commissioners in two special meetings on Thursday. --Rabbethan 00:22, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] New Marlins stadium
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of New Marlins stadium, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: New Miami stadium. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 00:59, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
