[edit] New articles
Thanks for submitting Shrine of Our Lady of Yankalilla. Joining Wikipedia can be daunting as its sheer size means there's a lot of things to learn. I don't even know everything there is to know myself, but I know what I need and it took me a few months to learn enough to become a administrator. The thing is, Wikipedia coding is developed for ease of use so it doesn't require lines and lines of HTML coding. It's supposed to be easy. Once you've read Wikipedia:Welcome, newcomers and Wikipedia:Tutorial you'll know the basics of writing pages. Wikipedia:Your first article and Wikipedia:How to write a great article should help to peg down article requirements. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions. - Mgm|(talk) 07:41, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- It's available. I think what you mean with "not available on the main site", that it doesn't display in search results. Search results are not done on the most recent database as it would be a strain on our resources to update the search engine index each time an article is created or deleted. If you hit the "Go" button it should take you directly to the article with the name you entered. But that button is case-sensitive. You need to use the proper capitalization for it to work. If you want other capitalizations to point to the article, you need to create Wikipedia:Redirects. Finally, if you put it into Google and add "site:en.wikipedia.org" to the end of your query Google will give Wikipedia results. - Mgm|(talk) 07:56, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
